Rev. Moses & Cathy Tey

The Tey’s intensive biblical exploration of how God builds His church spans Genesis to Revelation. At the heart of this framework is the family of God – to cultivate a passionate love for Jesus, the gospel, developing authentic leaders, marriages, parenting, discipleship, and evaluating church programs. Moses’ team served in China (2.5 million live attendance), the USA, and parts of SE Asia. Moses and Cathy are completing a Ph.D. at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Church and Family. They have been married 30 years with two adult sons who love the Lord. May God be glorified, and we share His joy.

Dr. Herbert & Ling Ming Tan

Herbert and Ling Ming is Director of Discipleship & Nurture and Youth Counselor respectively at Emmanuel Methodist Church, PJ. Herbert holds a PhD in the field of Christian Education and has taught at various seminaries in the Southeast Asian region. He is Chairman of Family Ministries Malaysia and Director of the D6 Conferences in Malaysia. Ling Ming holds master degrees in evangelism and pastoral counseling and actively engages in family-centred youth ministries. They have a young adult daughter fulfilling her call in teaching and a college young adult son pursuing his God-given gifting in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Scott Turansky

Scott is Coauthor of Parenting is Heart Work and Cofounder of National Center for Biblical Parenting. Together with cofounder Joanne Miller, they have trained over 110 presenters who teach their material around the US, using parenting seminars as outreach to the community.  Using drama, stories, and the scriptures, Scott and Joanne give parents the strategies and routines they need to help children change their hearts.  Scott holds two masters degrees from Western Seminary in Portland Oregon. He also has a doctorate in organizational management and strategic planning from Fuller Theological Seminary. He’s married to Carrie and has five children and eleven grandchildren. Scott has been a pastor for over 40 years.

Rev. Dr. Tan Soo Inn

Soo-Inn is the director of Graceworks, a ministry committed to promoting spiritual friendship in church and society. He is the author of Spiritual Friendship. He has a BDS from the University of Singapore, a ThM (NT) from Regent College, and a DMin from Fuller seminary. He has served as the lead pastor of two churches and as the executive leader of a major para-church ministry. His passions include connecting the Word of God to the struggles of daily life, and the mentoring of emerging leaders. He wants to do fresh thinking on the meaning of discipleship and what it means for the 21st century.

Prof. Ben Freudenburg

Ben was a Director of Christian Education for about 4 decades. He is the founder of Family Friendly Partners Network and recently retired as Family Life Program Director and Professor in Family Life Studies at Concordia University Ann Arbor. He is married to Jennifer and is father to two children and grandfather to four. He has served at various churches as Minister to the Christian Home. He received his BS in ED and certification as Director of Christian Education and Master’s of Science –Family Life through Concordia University in Seward Nebraska. He has written for a variety of education and youth journals and magazines and wrote his landmark book “The Family Friendly Church.” by Group Publishing. He has created the Family Friendly Partners Training Network and has led networks of churches in USA, Singapore, and Malaysia.  He is best known for helping churches and Family Life Educators develop a framework for Family Ministries in the local church.

Benny Wong

Benny is a registered Counsellor with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia and a Parenting Coach using a Heart Based Parenting approach.  He serves as a Family Life minister with Calvary Family Church, leads the Rhema Support Services at Tadika Rhema and runs Galilee Center, a counseling centre for families.  He regularly conducts marriage and parenting programs for the community.  Benny is an architect by profession.  He is married to Emily Lim with a son, Matthew, of university age.  Together with Emily, their passion is To empower families to flourish.

Ms. Esme Ng

Esme Ng is trained as a Clinical Psychologist, Parenting Coach and Research Consultant with the National Centre for Biblical Parenting, a former lecturer at HELP University, and a sleep-deprived mother of two young, highly-energetic bundles of joy. She currently resides with her family in Vancouver, B.C. and desperately misses Malaysian food, but glad to be rid of KL traffic.
